![]() If you haven't been paying attention, it's easy to miss. This controversial and clickbaity title is just another drop in the bucket of anti-Asian sentiment coming from the media and politicians. They would never have the nerve to publish a title like this about any other marginalized group, yet somehow think it's okay to do so with Asians. I read the article and it's irrelevant to the fact that the abhorrent title is a callously racist dog whistle. I don't care what the article says, it's behind a paywall and most people don't read articles anymore, they just see headlines. The irresponsible or intentional chain of editorial command at the paper all apparently agreed that this title was fine to publish. They changed the triggering title online (with no note acknowledging the change), but this had already gone to PRINT. This is the preposterous response that some people have given to the outrage about this genocidally suggestive headline published in The Wall Street Journal on Monday, the day after a mass shooting of Asians in Southern California and the same day as a mass shooting of Asians in Northern California.
